Glenn Hasen, Strategic Advisor
Glenn is a seasoned technology executive bringing over two decades of experience in the software industry to QL2. Prior to QL2, Glenn most recently served as CEO of Kapow Technologies. Prior to Kapow, Glenn was CEO and co-founder of Blue Titan Software where he helped guide the company to its successful acquisition by SOA Software. Before Blue Titan, Hasen served as Executive Vice President of Global Field Operations for Pivotal Software, acting as the driving force behind the company's stellar growth leading to a successful Initial Public Offering after increasing revenues from one to one hundred million dollars in just four and a half years. Additionally, Hasen held several executive level positions with Information Builders and Computer Associates respectively.Ashwin Rangan, Industry Advisor
Until recently, Ashwin Rangan served as the General Manager and Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Wal-Mart global.com. He joined the walmart.com team as CIO in 2005. Prior to this assignment, he served as senior vice president and CIO of Conexant in Newport Beach, CA. Ashwin was a member of the founding team that spun-out Rockwell Semiconductor Systems (in January 1999) and created Conexant. Before joining Rockwell Semiconductor Systems in 1995, he served in various senior management positions at AST Computer in Irvine, CA, until AST was acquired by Samsung Electronics.Ashwin is associated with several start-ups and early-stage companies, serving variously as mentor, advisor and director. He currently serves on the Boards of Monarch Information and Technology Services, Inc. (www.mitsinc.com), Suggestica (www.suggestica.com) and QL2 (www.ql2.com).
Ashwin has a Masters in Industrial Engineering and Management with an emphasis on IT and Operations Management from NITIE, Bombay, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Bangalore University, India. He is accredited with both CPIM and CIRM by the American Production and Inventory Control Society. He is accredited with a CSP by the Institute for Certification of Computing Professionals. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor. Ashwin was most recently accredited as a Certified Corporate Director by the Directors Institute at UCLA. He is a long-standing member of the International MENSA.
Max D. Hopper, Industry Advisor
In 1995 Max Hopper founded a consulting firm, Max D. Hopper Associates that specializes in the strategic use of advanced information systems. Prior to that he was senior vice president of information systems for AMR Corporation, an air transportation company (American Airlines) and a provider of information services to the travel and transportation industry. While there he also served as chairman of the SABRE Group, the airline reservation system unit of AA. His expertise and innovations there earned him the reputation as the "father of automation" among airline travel industry personnel.Hopper currently serves on the board of directors of Gartner Group and Perficient. He also serves on the board of directors or advisory boards for several private companies predominantly in the technology sector. He was previously chairman, and currently serves on the advisory council for the Graduate School of Management for the University of Texas at Dallas of Business, and on the executive board of the Southern Methodist University's School of Engineering and Applied Science.
In 1992 Hopper was recognized by Computerworld as one of the top 25 who made the greatest contributions in the field of IS. He received the Society for Information Management's 1991 Partners in Leadership award for his contribution to InterAAct, AMR's technology platform that provides electronic communication tools and information resources to all AMR employees. He was the recipient of the 1995 Data Processing Management Association's (DPMA) Distinguished Information Sciences Award. In 1997 he was inducted into the Infomart's Information Hall of Fame and in 1999 the editors of CIO magazine named him on of the decade's 12 most influential information system executives. Hopper also received the Leadership Award for Collaborative Innovation at the 2000 Computerworld Honors Program jointly sponsored by the Smithsonian Institute.
